A Doll’s House, Part 2

Golden Theatre

252 West 45th Street

In the final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 ground-breaking masterwork (A Doll’s House), Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children, and begin a life on her own. This climactic event— when Nora slams the door on everything in her life—instantly propelled world drama into the modern age. In A Doll’s House, Part 2, many years have passed since Nora’s exit. Now, there’s a knock on that same door. Nora has returned. But why? And what will it mean for those she left behind?

Playwright Lucas Hnath‘s Tony Award nominated “sequel” to the Ibsen classic (A Doll’s House) new play A Doll’s House, Part 2 continues its run through the New Year with the following cast changes: Nora is now being played by Tony Award winning actress Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed), Torvald by Tony nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), and Emmy by Erin Wilhelmi (The Crucible), with Tony Award winner Jayne Houdyshell continuing in the role of Anne Marie. This limited-run production is directed By Tony Award winner Sam Gold.
