Disney’s most recent Broadway contribution (and based on the 1992 movie) follows the life of a poor kid who falls in love with a princess, after discovering the secrets of a magic lamp. James Monroe Iglehart won a 2014 Tony for his performance of the Genie, and music is by Disney veteran Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid).
