American Symphony Orchestra celebrates Democracy at Carnegie

ASO and conductor Leon Bostein come to Carnegie Hall with programming that speaks to both music and society. The Sounds of Democracy features works inspired by political leaders and political events. Presidents Kennedy and Roosevelt inspired the music of Sessions (Symphony No. 2),  Bernstein (Symphony No. 3, Kaddish) and Copland (Canticle of Freedom). The ASO is joined by soprano Pamela Armstrong and the Bard Festival Chorale.
