iii from Miike Snow Slated for Release in March – Pre-order Availabe on iTunes

Gerald Allen, Contributing Writer, January 10, 2016

Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow is set to release their third studio album entitled iii later on in March. This is the first project that the Stockholm-based trio has released in over three years. The band has been in relative obscurity since their second studio album Happy to You, with the trio branching off to do solo projects and features. Lead singer Andrew Wyatt released a solo album entitled Descender in 2013, while production duo Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg have worked with musicians from a variety of different genres, including Katy Perry and Sia.

The band released the album’s first single Heart Is Full on October 30th, and followed up with another release on December 4th for the album’s second single Genghis Khan. The two singles feature their signature sound—dark lyrics with electro-poppy production—which the band has carefully crafted and perfected on their previous two albums. After the success of their first two albums and their four year hiatus the group has achieved somewhat of a cult following and many fans are eager to listen to their upcoming project.

The album is currently available for pre-order on iTunes and is set to release on March 4, 2016.
