Just in time for Halloween—a new horror film festival featuring classics as well as premieres

ZEALnyc, October 20, 2016

This Halloween season from October 21-27, 2016, a terrifying new horror film festival comes to New York City—FEARnyc. It will be New York’s biggest horror film festival, and will be presented at Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street), and will feature screenings of 65+ new and classic horror films, cast appearances, special events and a tribute to horror icon Wes Craven.

Among the films being screened are Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Exorcist, Hocus Pocus, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, The Lost Boys, The Monster Squad, Carnival of Souls, Nosferatu, and many more. In addition to these classic and iconic films, FEARnyc will also feature the premieres of dozens of new horror films including Dead Awake, the new film from Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick. Many of the films feature a special event: the screening of The Exorcist, for example, will feature a seance with the audience and the screening of Halloween will feature a Halloween party for the audience with prizes for best costume.
