Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen concludes the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra’s Carnegie Hall series with Mahler and Sibelius on June 6th. Tickets from $27.50. Violinist Christian Tetzlaff plays the Sibelius Violin Concerto and mezzo Anne Sofie von Otter sings Mahler’s wrenching Kindertotenlieder. The Sibelius Symphony No. 7 and Mahler’s Blumine ground the exciting evening.
