Susan Graham Joins Metropolitan Opera Orchestra at Carnegie for Mahler

Opera superstars Susan Grahm and Matthew Polenzani join conductor superstar Esa-Pekka Salonen and New York’s renowned Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for Mahler on May 31st. Tickets from $27.50. The composer’s dramatic First Symphony sources his own song work and those of other important 18th and 19th century artists. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra grounds the work with a performance of Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, German folk songs on the texts of Clemens Brentano and Achim von Armin.
