Union Square

Union Square

Broadway between 14th and 17th Streets, NYC

New York City’s parks are unique destinations, and Union Square is no exception.  Host to a famous local produce Green Market (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 8 and 6), the square is surrounded by some of Manhattan’s best restaurants.  Park statues include representations of George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, Abraham Lincoln, and Mahatma Gandhi.  A Temperance fountain sculpted by Adolf Donndorf also graces the grounds.
