Of cellist Alisa Weilerstein and pianist Inon Barnatan, The Boston Globe wrote: “Their interpretations were like a series of marvelously expressive close-ups: every note and phrase pinned to an exact emotion.” They come to Zankel Hall to play the world premiere of Through Your Fingers, a Carnegie Hall co-commission by Steven Mackey. Also on the program is the Mendelssohn Cello Sonata No. 2 in D Major and the cello sonatas of Britten and Rachmaninoff.
