Andrew McMahon was the vocalist, pianist and primary songwriter for the bands Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin; and now performs solo both under his own name and moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. In 2013, he debuted his first solo work entitled The Pop Underground, followed by his debut album Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, released October 14, 2014. In 2005, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (ALL) and underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and a successful stem cell transplant from his sister. In an effort to initiate change and provide a voice for the generations of young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer, Andrew founded the Dear Jack Foundation in July of 2006.
