Art Break: All Is Wright With the World With Ezra Stoller’s Photographs at Yossi Milo Gallery

By A. E. Colas, Contributing Writer, July 31, 2017

This year (2017) marks 150 years since the birth of the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. To celebrate this milestone, New York City has several exhibitions and other events going on now through the fall. One show is Art Break’s Chelsea pick of Ezra Stoller’s photographs of Wright’s buildings. Architectural photography is challenging due to many factors: the shapes of structures, their place in the landscape, waiting for the right light and shadows to highlight the unique features of a building. Stoller gives each site careful attention and as a result, creates images that show the best aspects of Wright’s work. Our Bonus Tip is another exhibit on Wright, this time at MoMA. In order to keep to our goal of seeing great art for free, we recommend going during the UNIQLO Free Friday Nights from 4-8pm. Details are listed below.
