The Book of Mormon

Eugene O'Neill Theatre

230 West 49th Street, NYC

Book of Mormon on Broadway

Profane, irreverent, and hilarious, Book of Mormon is the first theatrical venture for South Park creators Trey Parker and Seth Stone. A sibling of the South Park movie series and cousin of the successful television show, no topic is off limits as Mormon examines religion, race, sex, AIDS, and, of course, the Mormon Church. Winner of 9 Tony awards in 2011 including best musical, Mormon is ultimately a very sweet coming of age story where the underdog triumphs and in the process discovers the true meaning of compassion. The Broadway production is in particularly impressive shape given the length of its run, and well maintained by its creative staff.

First Preview: February 24, 2011

Opening: March 24, 2011

Closing: Open-end run
