L’Arpeggiata and ‘La lyra d’Orfeo’ at Zankel Hall

Carnegie Hall

www.carnegiehall.org

7th Avenue at 57th Street, New York, NY 10019

Tickets are available here, as the vocal music of Luigi Rossi is performed by L’Arpeggiata, which the New York Times calls “…the superb early music ensemble with a quirky sensibility.” Rossi juxtaposes styles within a single work, often shifting from intense recitative to mellifluous song. Artistic director Christina Pluhar is joined by sopranos Céline Scheen and Giuseppina Bridelli. A pre-concert talks at 6:30pm with Christina Pluhar and Carnegie Hall Director of Artistic Planning, Jeremy Geffen.
